Privacy notice
Your privacy on rizone.tech
rizone.tech is one page about Cadence. It has no forms, no accounts and no analytics. This notice explains the little it does handle, under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What we collect and why
Only two things. Neither is used to find out who you are.
The technical details your browser sends
Every time a browser asks for a web page, it sends a few details with the request. Cloudflare sees them as the request passes through, and our host records them in the server log.
- What
- Your IP address, the date and time, the page asked for, your browser and device type, and the page that linked you here.
- Why
- To send you the page, to keep the site safe from attacks and abuse, and to find and fix faults.
- Lawful basis
- Our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (POPIA section 11(1)(f)).
Light, dark or match your device
When you pick a theme, your browser remembers it in its local storage under the name rz-theme, as light, dark or system.
- What
- One word: your theme choice. Nothing else.
- Why
- So the page looks the way you chose next time.
- Where
- On your device only. It is never sent to us. Clear this site's data in your browser to remove it.
What we do not collect
- No forms, sign-ups or accounts. You never type anything into this site.
- No analytics, no visitor tracking and no advertising.
- No cookies set by the page.
- No outside fonts or scripts. Fonts and images come from rizone.tech itself.
If Cloudflare challenges a visit to check that it comes from a person, it may set a short-lived cf_clearance cookie. It is used only for that check, not to track you.
Links that leave this site. "Book a consultation" takes you to rizonetech.com, which has its own privacy notice. The source links under our figures go to the publishers of that research. Once you follow a link, that site's own notice applies.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the two providers below.
Who else handles it
Two providers handle visit details for us. Under POPIA they are operators: they act on our instructions and under their own data processing terms.
Cloudflare
Every request to rizone.tech passes through Cloudflare's network first. It answers for the domain, delivers the page and filters out attacks and bad traffic before they reach our server.
hosting.com
The website's files live on a hosting.com server. The server keeps a standard access log of the requests it answers.
Where it is processed
The website runs on a hosting.com server in Frankfurt, Germany. Cloudflare handles each request at the data centre nearest to you, which may be in South Africa or in another country.
This means your visit details may leave South Africa. We only use providers that are bound by data protection terms giving protection similar to POPIA, as section 72 of the Act requires.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: our host keeps them for a limited period for security and fault finding. We do not use them to identify visitors.
- Cloudflare: handles requests as they pass and keeps limited security logs only as long as its data processing terms allow.
- Your theme choice: on your device until you clear it.
Your rights and how to use them
POPIA gives you the right to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to how we use it;
- complain to the Information Regulator.
To use any of these, email our information officer at [email protected]. To find your visit in a server log, we need the date and rough time of your visit and your IP address. It costs nothing, and we reply within 30 days.
